At Bramble Outdoor Learning, we believe that the best classroom has no walls and the most profound lessons are found under the open sky. In a world that is increasingly digital, we support teachers and educators, helping them to create spaces where children can reconnect with the natural world, fostering curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong bond with the environment through hands-on exploration and meaningful learning experiences.
We work in partnership with schools, other educational settings, and organisations to embed high-quality outdoor learning that is purposeful, inclusive, and rooted in educational best practice.

In-school delivery of curriculum-based outdoor learning and Forest School, tailored to your setting and learners
Forest School and outdoor learning training and CPD, supporting educators to develop confidence, skills, and inspiration
Outdoor learning consultancy, helping schools design, develop, and sustain effective outdoor learning provision
Through Bramble Outdoor Learning, we aim to nurture confident learners, empowered educators, and a deeper connection between people and the natural world.
All of our trainers hold First Aid qualifications and enhanced DBS certificates.

Meet Our Founder: Anna Thompson
Behind Bramble Outdoor Learning is a passion born from decades of experience and a deep-seated belief in the power of the natural world to support learning.
Anna Thompson is a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience in the training and delivery of outdoor learning. Throughout her career, Anna has seen first hand how the traditional classroom - while foundational for many - can be a source of stress and anxiety for others. Anna believes that, with a little imagination, all curriculum subjects can be delivered outdoors, using the natural environment as a teaching space and learning resource. She founded Bramble on the conviction that every child should be entitled to experience the outdoors as a core part of their education.
